Southeast Asia

“Working overseas is something I have wanted to do since I was a young girl. I always prayed that the Lord would open the door for the opportunity to serve Him with my life. I studied Human Nutrition at The Ohio State University and am now a Registered Dietetic Technician. I am finishing my Master’s in Applied Nutrition and plan to get licensed as a Registered Dietitian.

In the spring of 2021, as I was preparing to graduate college, the Lord impressed missions on my heart again in a new way. He made it evident it was time to go. I joined SEND International in 2021 and began partner development to move overseas. In September of 2023, I left for my first term in Southeast Asia.

I am a part of a team working among an unreached Muslim people group. Initially, I will be working with the campus team with events, discovery Bible study groups, and one-on-one mentoring/discipleship as I continue to work on language and culture skills. Eventually, I will work with the other medical personnel on the team to help provide nutrition support and education. Our team runs a local nonprofit organization which includes running a good-sized farm that teaches agriculture and sustainability and employs many locals. I also will help with the gardening program the farm runs for women.

God has opened every door for me to be here, and I look forward to continuing to see what He has in store for me.”
